TeachMeet Belfast would like to acknowledge the help and continuing support of Tom Jackson from Microsoft Ireland (N & S) for organising the facilites within Stranmillis College.

WE HAVE MOVED COMPANIES FROM HAVING A PRESENTING SLOT TO POSSIBLY HAVING DISPLAY STANDS IN THE RECEPTION AREA FOR PEOPLE TO BROWSE UPON ARRIVAL - PLEASE REMOVE YOURSELF IF YOU DON'T WISH TO DO THIS
We are keen to keep this by teachers, for teachers, the same as every other Teach Meet in the UK

What is a TeachMeet?

Many thanks to our friends at BrainPOP for this excellent video!

It's now getting close to the actual TeachMeet and we hope presenters are getting organised for the 'Big Event.' If you are thinking of giving a quick presentation but haven't registered on the presenters page, please do so or contact one of us to organise it for you. Similarly, please register as a 'Lurker' / attendee as well.

In the meantime, below is a great YouTube video by Danny Nicholson about the use of Interctive Whiteboards for lesson starters. It may give you some ideas about what we are hoping to achieve in the Meet - great ideas used by teachers and shared by teachers. Danny has recorded the presentation on his computer, you don't have too!

Below is another video from the TeachMeet Hants website (www.teachmeethants.co.uk) showing a presentation by Nikki Davies on the teaching of RE - just to demonstrate that it doesn't all have to be technology based sharing of good practice. (Credits to Mike McSharry)

Finally, it would also be great to have any Presentations available before the TeachMeet so that we can have them available on a page on the Wiki for people to access during and after event. We will be contacting our confirmed presenters above to organise this!

SPONSORS
It would be impossible to organise out TeachMeet without people and companies who are supplying prizes for our raffles and items for our 'Goodie Bags.'To this end we would like to express our eternal thanks and gratitude to:
